Doylestown Township Awarded $297K Green Light-Go State Grant

Green Light-Go grants are awarded to municipalities for updates to improve the efficiency and operation of traffic signals.

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Doylestown Township has been awarded a $279,200 grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation's Green Light-Go grant program.

The township will use the money to update traffic signal equipment at Easton Road (Route 611) and Edison-Furlong Road.

Green Light-Go grants are provided as reimbursement to municipalities for updates to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals.

Grant funding through the program may be utilized for a range of operational improvements including light-emitting diode (LED) technology installation, traffic signal retiming, developing special event plans and monitoring traffic signals, as well as upgrading traffic signals to the latest technologies.
