Doylestown youth to perform in "The Wizard Of Oz"
Ready to welcome you to Munchkinland, Anna Shea Safran of Doylestown takes the stage at Walnut Street Theatre.
This holiday season, young talent from Doylestown will take the stage at Philadelphia’s most popular theatre company. Walnut Street Theatre’s production of the all-time classic musical,The Wizard Of Oz, celebrated its opening earlier this month and continues through January 8th.
Ready to welcome you to Munchkinland, Actress Anna Shea Safran, a 6th grader at Kutz Elementary School, plays a Munchkin in the production. No stranger to the stage, Safran most recently performed at New York City's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre in its stage adaptation of the Newberry Award-winning children's book, The Hundred Dresses.
Safran, along with her 29 Munchkin cast-mates, are all members of The Theatre School at Walnut Street Theatre.

On stage, The Wizard Of Oz features all of the Oscar-winning songs from the movie including "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "We're Off To See The Wizard," all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way.
