Doylestown's VIA Presents Donation To Family Readiness Group
The base's units are Guard or Reserve, and only receive pay for training or when they are activated for deployments.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Veterans Committee of the Village Improvement Association of
Doylestown (VIA) has donated $2,000 to the Biddle Air Guard Base Airman & Family Readiness
Center (the FRG) in support of its many family programs.
The FRG is part of the Air Force host unit, and supports all military units on the Montgomery County base in Horsham. They sponsor multiple events during the year, including a December holiday party, which recently drew more than 2,000 guests, and programs for military members and their families, as well as a large food pantry.
The FRG’s programs, which also include back-to-school backpack donations and a new mother program, are particularly important because the base’s units are Guard or Reserve, and only receive pay for training or when they are activated for deployments, said the VIA.
