Doylestown's Salt Cave Expands With Newtown Location

NEWTOWN, PA — The Salt Cave is now open in Newtown. The business, which has a location in Doylestown, is located on State Street, across the street from The Temperance House. A series of Grand Opening Week events are planned. (See schedule below)

The therapeutic cave uses pink Himalayan salt to offer relief for numerous conditions, including asthma, allergies, depression, common colds, cystic fibrosis, acne, arthritis, and more, according to its website. It is known as Halotherapy.

"For centuries, monks used naturally-occurring salt caverns to treat respiratory ailments. Today, manmade Saltrooms recreate salt caverns, with one huge improvement over nature: in a Halotherapy room, a salt vapor machine pumps pharmaceutical grade dry aerosol salt vapor into the air, so you can breathe it deep into your lungs," The Salt Cave explains on its website.

WEDNESDAY

• 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.: Guided recorded meditation
• 6:30 p.m.: Girls night session

THURSDAY

• 4:30 p.m.: Kids session
• 6:30 p.m.: Reggae session

FRIDAY

• 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.: Guided recorded meditation
• 6:30 p.m.: Girls night session

SATURDAY

• 4:30 p.m.: 80s throwback session

SUNDAY:

• 1:45 and 3 p.m.: Margaritaville session (Jimmy Buffet, margarita sampling)
