Dr. Weitzel Finishes At Central Bucks
Dr. Weitzel's last working day as superintendent was May 6. He was reportedly placed on leave ahead of his May 20 retirement date.

Dr. David Weitzel has completed his last working day in the Central Bucks School Distrct.
Weitzel, who moved up his June retirement date to May 20, has been placed on leave, the Intelligencer reports.
"May 6th is my last day working in the district," Weitzel said in a letter to the community, which appears on the district's website.

Assistant superintendent David Bolton will be Weitzel's temporary replacement until new superintendent John Kopicki begins in June.
The school board on Tuesday is expected to approve Bolton's appointment as substitute superintendent from May 7 through 20 and as acting superintendent from May 21 to June 5.

Weitzel told the Intelligencer the board has "its own personal agenda and it's not going to serve the district well."
