Driver Rescued After Car Crashes Into The Woods In Doylestown Township

Firefighters worked for about 40 minutes to extricate the driver who was turned over to the care of Central Bucks EMS.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A driver was hurt Wednesday evening when his car crashed into the woods along the Route 202 Bypass just south of the Main Street exit in Doylestown Township.

Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, Rescue 29 from Warrington Fire Co. No. 1, Central Bucks EMS and Doylestown Township Police responded to the scene at 6:17 p.m., according to fire officials.

Using rescue tools, the firefighters worked for about 40 minutes to extricate the driver who was turned over to the care of Central Bucks EMS and transported to the hospital, fire officials said. The condition of the driver wasn’t immediately known.

Firefighters remained on the scene for about 90 minutes while the vehicle was removed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Doylestown Township Police Department.
