Dunkin' Awards Scholarship To Central Bucks East Graduate

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Michael Bliss of Doylestown, a 2022 graduate of Central Bucks East High School, has been awarded a $5,000 scholarship from Dunkin' of Greater Philadelphia.

Bliss graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central Bucks East this past spring and recently earned his Eagle Award, the highest honor that a Scout can achieve.

In his free time he enjoys playing golf, watching movies, snowboarding, and being Bay Area sports No. 1 fan. This fall, Bliss will be attending Syracuse University where he plans to pursue a major in business and film.

Dunkin’s Philadelphia Regional Scholarship Program, which was open to current part-time and full-time undergraduate students and high school seniors, awarded $100,000 to 20 recipients who were selected based on their academic records, demonstrated leadership skills, and overall commitment to their schools and local communities.

The program helps high school seniors and college students in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and Kent and New Castle counties in Delaware pursue a part-time or full-time undergraduate degree at the institution of their choice.

This year, Dunkin’ franchisees increased each individual student scholarship award from $2,000 to $5,000 to help ease the financial burden of college.

From more than 1,350 applicants, Dunkin’ and Scholarship America selected 20 students to receive a $5,000 academic scholarship to an accredited two or four-year college, university, or

vocational-technical school of their choice for fall 2022.

To date, the Dunkin’ Philadelphia Regional Scholarship Program has awarded $600,000 in
scholarships to 320 outstanding high school seniors and college students. The program was
founded in 2009 by Dunkin’s Philadelphia-area franchisees to ease the financial burden of
college for students throughout the region.
