Election Results: How Did Doylestown Borough and Township Vote?
The township almost went all red while the borough voted nearly straight Democrat.

With the dust settled after Teusday's election, let's take a look to see how resident in Doylestown Borough and Doylestown Township voted in the key races.
While Democrat Hillary Clinton lost the state and election, Doylestown borough and township residents voted in favor of a Clinton presidency. According to the Bucks County election results website, the borough voted for Clinton 62. 4 percent to 33.3 percent for Republican Donald Trump. Township residents went for Clinton 50.9 percent to 44.8 percent for Trump.
The borough went in favor of Democrat Katie McGinty in the Senate race, but residents in the township cast the majority of their ballots for Republican incumbent Sen. Pat Toomey.

The township and borough split on the Attorney General race, with the township voting in favor of Republican state Sen. John Rafferty over Montgomery County Commissioner Chairman Josh Shapiro. The borough, however went for Shapiro over Rafferty.
Repubilcan Brian Fitzpatrick won in the township for the Congressional race, while Democrat Steve Santarsiero got a majority of the votes in the race from borough residents.

Another split race, the borough voted for Democrat Eugene DePasquale in the Auditor General race while the township voted in favor of Republican John Brown.
Republican Otto Voit won the majority in the township for the State Treasurer race, but the borough cast the most ballots for Democrat Joe Torsella in that race.
Lastly, both municipalities voted in favor of Republican Marguerite Quinn keeping her state House rep seat over Democrat Stephen Kunkel.
