Alzheimer’s Support Group Helps Loved Ones and Caregivers Cope

The Alzheimer’s Support Group of Doylestown will hold its monthly meeting on third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the Friendship Room at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 301 North Main Street, Doylestown. To RSVP call 215-262-0030 or email bmarte@2beshs.com.

The Alzheimer’s Support Group meets on each month to provide emotional, educational, and social support for caregivers through regularly scheduled meetings.

“The discussions center on behavior changes of loved ones with Dementia/Alzheimer's and how one can manage these behaviors to maintain a safe environment for all,” said Barbara Marte, owner of Seniors Helping Seniors of Bucks County and the facilitator of the group. “The goal is to help participants develop ways to solve problems and to encourage caregivers to maintain their own health, while they are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or dementia.”
