International School of Shiatsu Reflexology Workshop

Doylestown, PA – The International School of Shiatsu will present a series of Foot Reflexology courses Saturdays, June 3, 9 and 10, 8:30 – 4:30 p.m. Foot Reflexology utilizes specific finger pressure stimulation to break up body congestion and increase circulation. Nationally Certified Massage Therapist Barbara Panno, NCTMB, ABMP will be the guest instructor. A graduate of the Professional School of Massage and The Strengthening Health Institute, Panno’s teaching style is light, fun and informative. From bodyworkers to individuals simply wanting to help their elderly parents or their children with bellyaches, Panno fine tunes each class to be user-friendly. “No pre-requisites or prior training is needed,” says Barbara Panno, whose private practice in Doylestown is Keeping in Touch, Bodywork and Massage Therapies. “It’s an interactive, giving and receiving, way to nurture loving relationships with family and friends.” By the end of the course, students will know that each reflex point corresponds to the body’s specific organs, glands, joints and systems and be able to use the new modality for giving one-hour sessions. They will also learn the modality’s background and foot map, how the reflexes in the feet correlate with the body, an overall understanding of how foot reflexology helps rebalance the body and its systems and hands-on techniques using finger pressure points.
