Pearl S. Buck International Writing Center Hosts Publishing Workshop

Aspiring and accomplished writers of any genre are invited to attend a ‘First Steps Towards Publishing’ Workshop at the Pearl S. Buck Writing Center on Saturday, September 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Pearl S. Buck International Cultural Center, 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie.

Dr. Anne Kaler will read and critique attendees’ writing for a fee of $5 for 1-3 pages to see if a reader will ‘turn the page’ to keep reading. Dr. Kaler is the editor and chair of the Pearl S. Buck Writer’s Guild, Professor Emerita of literature at Gywnedd Mercy College, and the East Coast Editor for Olive Branch Publishing. Dr. Kaler requests that all attendees please send the first pages of their writing to her in advance of the workshop at akkaler@verizon.net and to bring two copies of the writing.

The workshop is suitable for writers of all levels and genres and attendees are invited to participate in an Author’s Tour of the Pearl S. Buck National Historic Landmark House during the event. For more information on this workshop and other Pearl S. Buck International Writing Center Events, visit www.pearlsbuck.org/writers, email clouden@pearlsbuck.org or call 267-421-6203.
