Pearl S. Buck International’s Writing Center Hosts Writing Workshop on Family Stories and Memoirs

Fiction and non-fiction writers of all levels are invited to attend a workshop on how to write family stories and memoirs.
Jerry Waxler, author of The 4 Elements for Writers and Write Your Memoir Workbook will teach attendees how to write stories about their families whether for private use or as a published memoir. Attendees will learn how to choose what to write about, how to deal with difficult situations and determine what to leave out, and understand the difference between a family saga and a life story. In addition to educating memoir writers, the workshop will help fiction writers gain a deeper understanding of how story works from inside the protagonist as well as providing tools to mine your own life for material that can be used in any writing.
