Firefighters Respond To Gas Fumes Call In Doylestown Borough

Crews from Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, assisted by Engine 35 from Lingohocken, located a faulty gas line to a heater in a basement.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Firefighters were called to East Oakland Avenue in Doylestown Borough Monday morning for gas fumes inside a building.

When they arrived, crew from Doylestown Fire Company No. 1, assisted by Engine 35 from Lingohocken, located a faulty gas line to a heater in a basement along with detectable levels of gas around the property.

The firefighters secured service to the building until repairs could be made. PECO also responded to inspect the meters and sample for street leaks, which were not found.

After ventilating the impacted buildings, the crews returned to their stations.
