Fleeing Doylestown Hit & Run Suspect Arrested In Buckingham

The man is also wanted in connection with an armed carjacking in Delaware County, police said.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A man who led police on a short pursuit after fleeing a hit and run crash in Doylestown Township has been charged in Buckingham with receiving stolen property and fleeing police.

The incident began October 24 at 8:15 a.m. when a silver Nissan Murano fled a hit and run crash scene in Doylestown Township. The vehicle, bearing PA registration KYJ-7716, was also wanted for an armed carjacking.

Buckingham patrol officers observed the vehicle traveling northbound on Route 202 and attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled on Holicong Road.

After a short pursuit, the operator stopped the Nissan and fled on foot. Officers coordinated a
perimeter and captured the driver a short time later without incident, police said.

The man was remanded to Bucks County Prison for receiving stolen property and related charges. Officers from Delaware County called and inquired about the suspect and will be following up with their investigation.
