Fonthill's Old-Fashioned July 4 Celebration: Full Schedule Of Events
What better way to spend July 4 than at a good ole' American picnic? There will be sack races, a pie baking contest, a bike parade and more.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — What better way to spend July 4 than at a good ole' American picnic?
There will be watermelon eating contests, pie baking contests, sack races, tug-o-war, bucket brigade relays, town ball (an early form of baseball), a cake walk, wheelbarrow races, hobby horse races, and more. It's all happening at Fonthill on July 4th. (Full schedule of events below.)
Fonthill's Old-Fashioned Fourth of July celebration will feature a children's bike parade, patriotic music, crafts and vendors selling a variety of summertime snacks and treats. (You can also bring your own picnic and blanket.)

The day’s festivities kick off with the National Anthem, followed by the Children’s Decorated Bike Parade at 12:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for the most dressed up bikes in the categories of “most patriotic,” “most original,” and “most dynamic.”

Other activities throughout the day include: dog agility demonstrations with the Kruisin’ Kanines, storytelling with Robin Moore in front of his teepee, antique bike demonstrations with the PA Wheelman, and music with the Bucks County Country Gentlemen, Del Val Saxophone Quartet, and Galena Brass Brand.
The event is cancelled if there's heavy rain. The cost to attend is $5 adults/$3 members. Children under 15 are free.
