Foundations Awards Nearly $44K To Bucks County Nonprofits

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Foundations Community Partnership has awarded its fall Partnership in Youth Services grant to 13 non-profit organizations serving children, young adults, and families in Bucks County.

Collectively, the organizations will help address the behavioral health and human service needs of 11,580 Bucks County residents, according to Foundations.

“These nonprofits provide essential services for their clients during a time of need and continued uncertainty,” said Abigail Halloran, chair of Foundation's Board of Directors. “Supporting innovative ideas and impactful programs has been at the core of our grant making since 2007.”

Grants totaling $39,000 were awarded to the following non-profit organizations:

• Autism Cares Foundation – Expansion of its calendar of events and activities for clients with autism and other disabilities.
• Central Bucks School District – Supporting Student Voice Days, a series of events engaging students to create a sense of community at school.
• Easterseals of Southeastern PA – Supporting the birth to 3-year-old Early Intervention Program, designed to increase the functional and cognitive skills of children with disabilities leading to greater independence.
• Girls Empowered – Providing empowerment programs, including self-esteem, self-care, stress and time management, healthy relationships, diversity, leadership, and team-building, to girls in elementary through high school.
• Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian – Strengthening technology infrastructure and support development staff in their efforts to secure additional funding for the organization.
• KidsSmiles – Supporting increased outreach and dental care for children residing in Lower Bucks County.
• LifePath – Purchasing a Tactile Stimulation Kit that encourages children to explore, reach, grasp, and swipe, which increases their sensory stimulation, tactile awareness, and visual attention.
• Minding Your Mind – Providing free mental health and suicide prevention education to children, adolescents, teens and young adults, their parents, teachers, and school administrators in Bucks County.
• Project Libertad – Providing legal services to immigrant youth in Bucks County.
• Senior Adults for Greater Education (S.A.G.E.) – Increasing outreach in Bucks County schools by recruiting high school senior volunteers who will contribute their skills and knowledge as mentors and tutors to improve student well-being.
• The Baby Bureau – Alleviating the costs associated with raising a baby in the first year of life. These babies are from underserved, at-risk low-income families living in Bucks County.
• The Salvation Army Children’s Services – Providing Bucks County foster and adoptive families with trauma-informed caregiving techniques to better equip them to meet the needs of the children in their care.
• YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon counties –Supporting NORM, a program allowing local juveniles and at-risk youth from area group homes to use Y facilities.

A nonprofit growth grant was also awarded to Doylestown-based Immigrant Rights Action in support of the organization’s strategic planning and sustainability efforts.
