DOYLESTOWN, PA — An unbelievable photo taken from a drone just south of Doylestown captures the magnitude of Monday's storm, which caused widespread destruction across the region.

The photo was taken by Ray Leichner, a storm chaser for Live Storms Media.

Leichner tells Patch the photo was taken with a drone he launched from Chalfont. The cell on the radar was just south of Doylestown about 5:30 p.m. when he snapped the potential microburst.

The photo went viral on social media after Action News' Cecily Tynan posted it to her Facebook page, where it was shared more than 3,000 times.

Monday's storm knocked out power for thousands and downed numerous trees, resulting in widespread road closures.
