Kin Wellness In Buckingham Reaches Milestone, Surpasses 10K Free Services
The nonprofit wellness and support center provides free services to Bucks County residents battling cancer.

BUCKINGHAM, PA — The nonprofit Kin Wellness and Support Center, founded five years ago to support patients battling cancer, is marking a major milestone.
The center has exceeded 10,000 free services provided to the Bucks County cancer community, with a focus on mental, physical, and emotional well-being, Keith and Kristina Fenimore, the co-founders and directors of Kin, have announced.
With more than 400 active guests and more than 50 practitioners and instructors, Kin offers 25 to 30 classes, appointments, and workshops per week, serving more than 100 people weekly.

"Five years ago when I went to the space that would become Kin to meet Keith and Kristina, I couldn’t have imagined that it would become so much more than volunteering to do a few Reiki sessions," said Mary-Ellen Morba, one of the center's Reke Masters. "Since then, there have been hundreds of sessions shared with courageous guests who inspire us all to be there for them and each other. Kin continues to be a place where I can grow, learn, and be supported just as much as I have the opportunity to share, teach and mentor. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this amazing program.”

“Congratulations to the entire Kin team on this impressive achievement (10,000 free services). Kin is an essential resource for our cancer patients in Bucks County. Their free services support the body and the mind," said Amy Stein, MSW LCSW OSW-C, an oncology social worker at Penn Medicine-Doylestown Health. "Patients tell me they feel at home when they visit. They feel less like a medical diagnosis and more like a human being again.”
As a full 360-degree facility, the patient, the caregiver and oncology healthcare workers receive free treatment and support. Kin helps patients in treatment and recovery, as well as those who are metastatic and on cancer maintenance. Kin welcomes primary caregivers and also sends practitioners to health care facilities to care for oncology healthcare workers while they are on shift.
Through Kin’s Alumni program, the free membership to Kin never expires, guests can stay involved as long as they desire, with many becoming volunteers.
“As we hit this milestone, I reflect back to the beginning, a DM on Facebook from Alyssa who was best friends with Corinne Sikora," said Keith Fenimore, co-founder and Executive Director of Kin Wellness and Support Center. "The message asked if Kristina and I could build a holistic integrative cancer center that would be inclusive and catered to anyone who needed it, with free services. A herculin task, and nothing Kristina nor I had ever done before. The liberating part was not having to rely on a blueprint, but being able to listen to the needs of the cancer community and build to that
need in our programmatic offering as well as the physical space. Now 5 years and 10,000 services later we marvel at the amazing community that has been curated at Kin and the outpouring of volunteer and community support that elevates the non-profit and allows us to help so many people!”

"Kin Wellness and Support Center has been an important
support system during my chemotherapy journey. I am so grateful to receive services that have been life changing, helping me reduce side effects and relax my nervous system," said Kin guest Sandra Adame. “Kin is a safe and peaceful place where I feel loved and care for. From the directors, front desk, volunteers and care givers, they have a healing touch to restore body, soul, and spirit. Thank you, Kin!”
Beth Cady, long-time guest services volunteer, added, “As I was finishing up my cancer treatment, I met Keith and Kristina right as they were opening Kin. I had been isolated during my treatment and recovery during COVID and knew the importance of a place like Kin after feeling so alone. Through the years I have given hundreds of tours at Kin, and met amazing people who were desperate to find relief. I have so much respect for our Kin practitioners who continue to share
their expertise and provide comfort and care for those in need. I feel blessed to be part of such a special organization.”
