Local Activists Rally for Increase in Minimum Wage
The rally was organized by the Raise the Wage PA grassroots organization, which is working towards increasing the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour.
A lunchtime rally to support an increase in the minimum wage was held Thursday in Doylestown.
The rally was organized by the Raise the Wage PA grassroots organization, which is working towards increasing the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour.
The rally was held at State and Main streets in the borough. Kevin Strouse, Democratic candidate for Congress, and Steve Cickay, candidate for State Senate attended the rally. Mayor Ron Strouse was in also attendance.

Cickay is challenging Chuck McIlhinney to represent the state's 10th District, which includes Buckingham Township, Doylestown Township, Doylestown Borough, Newtown Township, Newtown Borough and other Bucks County municipalities.
“Over 1 million struggling PA workers would get a raise if the state minimum wage were increased to at least $10.10 per hour. Tell politicians that Pennsylvania families deserve better— tell them to raise the minimum wage now!,” organizers announced on Patch.
