Local Beer Flowing at New Doylestown Brewing Company

Customers can expect 10 beers on tap, with a constant rotation of varieties.

Just in time for the summer season, Doylestown Brewing Company is officially open for business. The brewery opened earlier this month at the Main Street Marketplace, 22 S. Main St, Doylestown.

So far, it’s off to a great start, owner Joe Modestine said.

“Everybody loves the space,” Modestine said. “The beers are going over phenomenally.”

And what’s a good beer without some great food to munch along with it? The brewery has a full menu.

Food is served from the three restaurants that share the Main Street Marketplace with the brewery. Those eateries include the Pennsylvania Soup and Seafood House, Andre’s Wine and Cheese Shop and Spuntino Pizzeria.

Pennsylvania wines are also served in addition to beer.

Modestine said he’s excited to offer a “Local Tap Series” to showcase local businesses in town. Each month, he’ll partner with a local business who will help him pick the beer to craft as well as the name. “On our menu, we promote that business,” he explained.

The first business to be featured is Doylestown Bike Works. Modestine partnered with them to create the Bike Works Bone Shaker Bourbon Porter.

In a couple weeks, the Rutherford Camera Shop will be featured along with a Picture Perfect Belgian.

“We’re anticipating every month, there should be a new local tap,” Modestine said, adding the business owners even assist with the brewing process.

The brewery is currently open Tuesday through Sunday at 11 a.m. Closing time varies.

Modestine said he hopes to open Mondays by football season.
