DOYLESTOWN, PA — Lula Doylestown, the borough's newest cocktail bar and small plate eatery, has opened its doors for the summer at the former site of the Zen Den at 41 East State Street.

The latest addition to the town's ever evolving food and drink scene is a "Summer Series" collaboration between Doylestown restaurateur Kendall Bajek, the owner of Empanada Mama & Nourish by MAMA, and the building's owners, Lynn and Bill Goldman.

Lula's drink menu is the star of the show, featuring "carefully crafted" specialty drinks and cocktails made with the freshest ingredients and with a special focus on mezcal and libélula tequila, including its summer features - Pina Marguerita and a Mezcal Old Fashioned.

The drink menu also includes a selection of beer (Modelo, Victoria, Fiddlehead IPA and Famosa Lager); ciders (aval rose and aval blanc); and hard kombucha (Juneshine Blood Orange Mint and Juneshine Midnight Painkiller).

For those looking for non-alcoholic offerings, Lula's serves a number of zero proof drinks including Blueberry Limonada, Lula's Lemonade, Arnie Palmer, Mexican Coke; Topo Chico; Liquid Death Mountain Water; and Athletic Brewing IPA.

In addition to its cocktails, Lula's features a menu of “Flight Bites,” a classic pairing of food for tequila lovers and guacamole connoisseurs.

"Inspired by the sights, sounds, cuisines and cocktails of the Mexican culture, Lula brings forth a taste of authenticity and traditional flavors," says its menu. "Mama has tailored a menu to accompany our carefully crafted libations with the freshest ingredients around."

Lula's amazing small plates and bites menu, prepared by Empanada Mama and Nourish by MAMA, includes Arepa stuffed with cheese, Ana's shrimp ceviche, freshly baked empanadas, buffalo cauliflower quesadilla, chicken tinga tacos, and lots more mouth-watering fare.
