Man Charged With Christmas Day Assault: New Britain Twp Police

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — A 23-year-old man was charged in connection with a domestic assault on Christmas Day, New Britain Township Police said.

Jason Vogel is facing charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment.

The arrest was made after officers were called to Cambridge Place for a report of a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they could hearing a woman screaming and a man yelling inside the house. No one answered the door when officers knocked, so they found a way inside, according to information from the police department.

Once inside, officers determined that Vogel had threatened and assaulted other residents, as well as caused damage to property.

Vogel remains jailed at Bucks County prison after being unable to post bail, which was set at 10 percent of $50,000, court records show.

His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 12.
