Man Gets DUI Driving To Court For DUI Charges

A man who was arrested for driving drunk to court in New Britain was due there for a hearing on a previous DUI charge, court records show.

A man who drove drunk to a court hearing for a previous DUI is facing additional charges, Central Bucks Regional Police said.

According to police, William Erickson, 66, of Telford was arrested for DUI shortly after noon on Friday, Feb. 23. Police say he was intoxicated when he drove to court. Erickson admitted to driving to court and subsequent field sobriety tests were administered in addition to a breath test, police said.

Court records show Erickson was due in court that day for DUI charges connected to a Nov. 4 arrest in Hilltown Township.

Erickson was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood draw. He was charged with DUI and driving while suspended/DUI related, Central Bucks Police said.
