Man Sexually Assaulted 11-Year-Old Girl: Central Bucks PD

A Chalfont man already charged with sexually assaulting an elderly woman is now facing felony charges in connection with a 1999 sexual assault of a child, Central Bucks Regional Police said.

According to police, Robert Shimer, 64, allegedly assaulted an 11-year old female in March 1999. He is charged with aggravated indecent assault of a child under 13 and related charges.

Shimer invited the girl into his bedroom to watch TV and then sexually assaulted her, police said.

He is already facing charges in connection with sexually assaulting an elderly woman in June. Additional charges in that case are forthcoming after authorities said he assaulted that same victim previously on April 24.

Shimer is in Bucks County prison after being unable to make bail, which was set at 10 percent of $250,000.
