Matzah Balls Deli Shut Down Just Days After Opening In Doylestown
Just a week ago, local politicians and residents gathered at the deli and restaurant for a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Just days after opening its doors, Matzah Balls is closed. And there’s no word when or if Doylestown’s only Jewish deli will be reopening.
On Thursday, the Bucks County Sheriff's Department served an eviction notice, padlocked the door and posted no trespassing signs in the windows at 24 North Main Street.
According to Bucks County Sheriff Fred Harran, the eviction notice was issued for La Dolce Vita Da Franco, which had occupied the site prior to the deli.

Owner Franco Federico closed the Italian restaurant earlier this month, reopening it as Matzah Balls last week.
Kevin Aniess, a friend of the owner, told Doylestown Patch that the sudden closure is the result of a landlord and tenant dispute. He couldn’t say when or if the business would be reopening.
