NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA —The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Thursday that a stretch of New Galena Road in New Britain Township will be closed at times next week for pipe replacement.

According to a release, New Galena Road between Trewington Road and Barry Road will be off-limits to motorists from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, May 3 through Wednesday, May 5.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 152 (Limekiln Pike) and Hilltown Pike. Local access will be maintained up to the construction. PennDOT said motorists should allow extra time when traveling near the construction area because backups and delays will occur.
