New Giant Going Into Old Redner's Will Sell Beer, Wine

The new Giant Supermarket opening at the former Redner's on Rt. 611 in Doylestown Township will sell beer and wine.

The Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors have approved a liquor license transfer from Richlandtown Borough to be used at the Giant, the Bucks County Herald reported.

The store, expected to open in early 2019, is one of six new locations opening in the region. It will replace the existing Giant store on York Road in Jamison.

Redner's closed at the end of March, after the property owner presented an offer to terminate its lease early. There was significant speculation around town about what was going to replace it.
