DOYLESTOWN, PA — A new music school is opening next month in Doylestown, and will offer a variety of creative programs for children, teens, and adults.
The Nook Nook Creative Music School will be opening on W. State Street. The owner and founder is Marcus J Staniec, a Bucks County native who has returned to the area after teaching music overseas.
Staniec graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2003. He went on to open his own music school in Tokyo "and it became a wonderful success," Staniec explained.

He recently moved back to the area, and will be bringing the same creative approach to Doylestown.
At Nook Nook Creative Music School, children discover how music works, while also learning how to play their favorite songs on various instruments, he explained.

But it's not only about music. At the Nook Nook Creative Music School, children are encouraged to be individual leaders with a great sense of imagination. "As we see it, we’re not just a small music school, but a movement to fulfill the need for creativity in our society," Staniec said.
The school offers both creative music classes for children, as well as individual music lessons in piano, guitar, bass, and ukulele. There is also a rock band program for children 4 to 7.
In the Music & My Imagination creative music classes, children are guided to learn with playful activities such as games, performances of music they love, and learning sessions about how music works. Children will have the chance to make their own instruments and experiment with various sounds. No at-home practice is necessary for these classes.
There will also be musical offerings for adults, including the Drink & Jam events, which are planned for the first Thursday night of the month at 8 p.m.
These sessions, for ages 21 and older, will be a "unique learning and social experience like no other," Nook Nook Creative Music School explains on its website.
Participants should bring their own guitar and favorite drink, and settle in for an evening of music, learning, and fun. More information on registration can be found on the school's website.
