New Website Brings Doylestown up to Speed

Doylestown Borough has opened a virtual borough hall to answer all those questions and more.

The borough recently launched a new website, the culmination of an upgrade project that had been in the works for almost a year.

Designed by the Doylestown marketing and PR firm of Furia Rubel, the website targets specific audiences, including visitors, residents and businesses.

"This is another step in terms of keeping you better informed and better engaged in the community," borough council president Det Ansinn said recently.

More than 1,000 hours of work went into the site, and much of the work for the borough's side was handled by Kelli Scarlett. She is the borough's director of building and zoning, as well as its fire marshal.

Borough manager John Davis thanked Scarlett for willingly taking on the additional task.

"Kelli’s not our social media person, she's not our web person," Davis said. "It’s just another case that someone takes on another hat willingly."

"The words 'not my job' do not exist amongst Doylestown staff," Ansinn said.

The site organizes a wealth of information, including everything from a schedule of permit fees and forms to maps and info on bike and hike trails.
