"Night Of Song" Bringing Music To Doylestown's TileWorks
Singer and songwriters to perform in a special concert inside the Big Room at the TileWorks In Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — "A Night of Song" will fill the cavernous concrete parlor room at the Moravian Pottery and TileWorks with music on Tuesday, April 30.
"This historic space is perfect for experiencing intimate performances as even the walls themselves have a lot to say — adorned from floor to ceiling in Henry Mercer's tiles and tools," said event organizers.

To make the experience even more special, A Night Of Song will introduce touring artists Fellow Pynins to Doylestown.
Fellow Pynins is an Ashland, Oregon-based award winning contemporary folk duo consisting of Dani Aubert (claw-hammer banjo, bouzouki) and Ian George (guitar, mandolin). Since 2016 the duo has toured the U.S. incessantly and has gathered significant traction in the UK/Ireland. They were named by NPR’s Bob Boilen as one of the best Tiny Desk submissions of 2019 calling them, "folk music with a hefty touch of whimsy."

In the same year, they won the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old-Time duet competition.
Their 2022 sophomore album 'Lady Mondegreen' is an ode to their love and reverence for traditional music. It was recorded live over 10 days in their off-grid tiny house dwelling in the mountains of Oregon. All songs on the album were learned person-to-person from various individuals they met whilst traveling with their two children over a 10 month song collecting trip through Europe/UK/Ireland in their transformed camper van “Big Blue.”
Doylestown duo Baron Tiger kick the night off. This writing team comprised of Larissa Hopwood (guitar, vocals) and Melissa Del Rinker (cello, vocals) have moved audiences together over the last two years with what they call -- "cello drenched harmony laden indie music."
Most recently, they brought their sound to a sold out crowd inside The Music Hall at World Cafe Live backing Anthony Green.

"Experiencing music, whether you’re performing or listening, in a special setting, is a uniquely memorable event," Larissa says about A Night Of Song, "when we have opportunities in our community to support these shows, whether we’re performing or in the audience, it’s guaranteed to fill our souls to the brim with light and warmth that only an event like this can do."
Local concert producer and songwriter Joe Montone will be special guest host for the evening.
"I'd like to provide the audience a framework for what goes into writing a song, as well as for the artists performing," says Montone, "and see if this framework sparks any conversation amongst myself and the artists."
Montone will also perform a selection of covers inspired by the festivities and some of his own material.
By day, The TileWorks of Bucks County is actively producing tiles applying many of founder Henry Mercer's original methods and techniques. They are also host to tours, workshops, and have become a community hub for bluegrass and other live shows.
