TODAY: VIA Bringing Old-Fashioned Village Fair To Doylestown
The event is bringing together community organizations to raise money for neighbors in need of assistance with the rising cost of living.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — An old-fashioned Village Fair, last held decades ago in Doylestown, returns on Saturday, June 24 with plenty of fun.
From 12 to 4 p.m. at Central Park in Doylestown Township, the event will bring together local community organizations to raise money for neighbors in need of assistance with rising food, utility, and housing costs.
The fair is being organized by the Village Improvement Association and coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of Doylestown Hospital by the VIA.

The day will feature live entertainment, hosted by djGroove, beginning at 12:15 p.m. and continuing throughout the afternoon. Featured performers are:
- 12:15 p.m. Bucks County Performing Arts
- 1 p.m. Action Karate
- 1:30 p.m. A performance by the Fitzpatrick School of Irish Dance
- 2:15 p.m. The School of Rock of Doylestown
Participating nonprofit organizations will sponsor booths and activities, including skeeball, bean bag toss and cornhole games, face painting, a children's caricature artist and more.

Other organizations will spotlight sports memorabilia and basket raffles.
The Doylestown Historical Society and the Civil War Museum will be setting up displays, while the Doylestown Rotary will offer a donut sale and donut toss game.
The Doylestown Nature Club will sponsor a plant sale (cash only). There will also be a disc golf tournament onsite.
The Doylestown Fire Company will be bringing its Ahrens-Fox Fire Engine, which is celebrating its Centennial this year.
Food trucks including Rooster and Chick (sandwiches), A Taste of Philly (sandwiches) and Kresha Kreations (desserts) will provide a range of refreshment choices.
A rain or shine event, the Village Fair is being sponsored by the Village Improvement Association in partnership with Doylestown Township.
Tickets are $5 per person. Children six and under are admitted free. Cash is appreciated.
