PennDOT To Brief Public On Plans For Route 202 Roundabout
A virtual meeting is scheduled for Tuesday evening on plans for major highway improvement in Buckingham.

BUCKINGHAM, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will hold a live virtual public meeting on Tuesday, May 21 to brief the public on plans to build a roundabout at the intersection of Route 202 and York Road in Buckingham Township.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will include an overview of the project by PennDOT's design team. There will also be time for a question and answer session. The public can access the meeting by clicking on this Microsoft Live Teams meeting link prior to the presentation start time.
Internet access and a computer or mobile device are required to view the virtual meeting. Anyone with special needs or requiring special aid is requested to contact PennDOT Project Manager Nathan Parrish.

Members of the public who are unable to attend the meeting can view the meeting recording and copy of the project materials on the project webpage. An online comment form is also available to submit feedback or questions.
PennDOT is planning to replace the Route 202 and York Road intersection with a roundabout to reduce congestion and the number and severity of crashes at the intersection.

Additionally, the project is designed to improve the operations of the intersection, emergency vehicle access and mobility, and the absence of pedestrian access within the area of the intersection.
The proposed project includes improvements to two intersections on U.S. 202 in Buckingham.
The proposed work at the Route 202 and York Road intersection includes:
- Reconstructing and converting the existing T-intersection into a roundabout.
- Installing intersection lighting.
- Constructing stormwater management facilities.
- Constructing sidewalks, multi-use trails, and ADA crossings.
The proposed work at the U.S. 202 and Route 413 intersection includes:
- Constructing right-turn lanes on U.S. 202.
- Improving alignment of left-turn lanes on all approaches.
- Adjusting traffic signal displays to align with new lane configuration.
- Replacing guide rail in northwest and southeast quadrants.
