Plumstead Issues Boil Water Advisory For Northern System
Officials say an equipment failure is causing a loss of adequate disinfection at the Country Green Treatment Plant.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — A boil water advisory has been issued for residents served by the Northern System due to an equipment failure that is causing a loss of adequate disinfection at the Country Green Treatment Plant, the township posted Thursday afternoon on Facebook.
The Northern System includes Country Green, Cabin Run and Landis Green, Timberly Farms, Plumstead Woods, Plumstead Preserve, Windtree, Holly Ridge, Lantern Ridge and Plumstead Villa developments, the township said.
"All affected customers are advised that the water may be unsafe for human consumption, and water used for drinking or food preparation must be boiled for five minutes before use," the township posted.
