New Police Officer Takes The Oath In Plumstead Township

Before becoming a police officer, Justin served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Officer Justin Bickhardt has joined the Plumstead Township Police Department. He was sworn in by District Judge Gary Gambardella on July 12 at the Board of Supervisors meeting.

Bickhardt is a 2009 graduate of the Temple University Police Academy and has nine years of full-time experience with the Morrisville Borough Police Department where he earned several commendations for his service.

In addition to other certifications, Justin is a certified NRA Patrol Rifle Instructor, Pennsylvania State Police Firearms Instructor, and NTOA Active Shooter Instructor. He has been a member of
the South Central Bucks County SWAT Team since 2015 and served as the Morrisville Borough Police Department’s IT Administrator.

Before becoming a police officer, Justin served in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom deployed in Mosul, Iraq. There, he served as a Team Leader conducting multiple patrols of high-value areas as well as raids on high-value targets and
weapons caches. From 2006 through 2009, Justin served in the U.S. Army Reserve, trained as an Infantry Soldier and Interrogator.
