Doylestown Store Owner Puts Out Plea To ID Shoplifting Suspect

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — A shop owner and the Central Bucks Regional Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman suspected of shoplifting on Tuesday at two Doylestown Borough businesses.

Police were called to Something Else at 31 West State Street around 3:30 p.m. for a retail theft.

Police said a woman, who was captured on surveillance cameras, is suspected of stealing a bracelet from the store. The same woman is also believed to have shoplifted sunglasses from Stormi Skye later that day.

The woman is described as a white female, 40 to 50 years old, wearing a black T-shirt, white and blue pants, grey sneakers, and a crossbody bag.

Kristin, the owner of "Something Else" and "Stormi Skye" said they have had several recent thefts at their stores and need the public's help identifying the woman.

"As a small business owner, this is incredibly disheartening and frustrating. In my 10+ years of owning and working in this business, I’ve had to deal with this far too many times ... even with security cameras and security sensors in place," said Kristin.

"I truly appreciate our community’s help in identifying those responsible and holding them accountable," she said. "Thank you so much, especially to everyone who continues to shop small and support my businesses."

Reaction to Kristin's plea drew lots of comments from the community, including from Bonnie who posted, "I just don't get how people are okay with stealing. She is old enough to know better. Way old enough. I hope someone recognizes her."
