Pop-Up French Brocante Market Set For Sunday In Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Bucks County-based "A Love For Life," a nonprofit dedicated to raising funds in support of pancreatic cancer research, will be holding a pop-up French-themed Brocante Market on Sunday in conjunction with the Doylestown Arts Festival and the Bucks County Classic.

The second-hand market will take place in the heart of town at the Free Spirit Social House at 29 South Main Street from noon to 4 p.m., according to A Love For Life founder Christine Edmonds.

A Love for Life recently launched a dedicated eBay store selling vintage items with all proceeds benefiting their pancreatic cancer research team at Penn Medicine.

“My friends Meg Newell and Rebecca Bancroft and I had a local vintage resale company called Trove Decor for over a dozen years in Newtown Borough. We would buy all the cool things we could find at the Golden Nugget Flea Market in Lambertville and Adamstown and estate sales and fix them up and reupholster with our friend Tom and have sales 4 or 5 times a year," said Edmonds. “ I have so many cool things that I do not need, and the eBay store has helped raise thousands of dollars in just the last few months. Now I’m always on the lookout for good cardboard boxes and packing materials and I moved back into the warehouse that we had a decade ago as piles of boxes were crowding out my dining room table and floor."
