'Pop-Up Park' Opens Friday In Doylestown, Special Events Planned
A pop-up park will be open for 3 days starting Friday at West State and Hamilon Streets. Music and other special events are planned.

A pop-up park that has been described as a "fleeing urban oasis" will open Friday, Sept. 21 in Doylestown.
This is the fourth year residents have worked to put up the pop-up park in downtown Doylestown. This year's park will be situated at the corner of West State and Hamilon streets. It will be open through Sunday, Sept. 23.
The project is done in concert with the nationwide PARK(ing) Day, an event that began in California in 2005.

"These projects create an urban oasis in unexpected places, usually reserved for cars, in the bustling downtown," according to a press release from organizers.
Some special events are planned to celebrate the temporary park. Events will include morning yoga, children’s story time, activities by Busy Bee Toys, a kids’ concert, as well as evening music for grown-ups.
