Popular OwowCow Ice Cream Shop Expanding To Chalfont

CHALFONT, PA — The popular OwowCow creamery, which enjoys a cult-like following at its three other area locations, is opening a shop in Chalfont, according to a report.

OwowCow has signed a 10-year lease with the borough to open an ice cream shop in a 1,500-square-foot portion of the former fire department building on North Main Street, business representatives confirm.

OwowCow has locations in Wrightstown, Lambertville and Ottsville. The Wrightstown location is off Rt. 413, in the Carousel Village shopping center. In Lambertville, the shop is located on N. Union Street, and in Ottsville, it is located on Durham Road.

OwowCow serves homemade ice cream using locally-sourced ingredients, and has gained a loyal customer base. It is known for its creativity with cultivating seasonal flavors, and offers up tasty combinations such as blood orange raspberry, pumpkin caramel pecan, and strawberry basil.

In 2013, Huffington Post included OwowCow in its list of America’s Top 10 ice cream shops.
