Bucks Seniors May Be Eligible For Farm Market Vouchers

Through the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, eligible seniors can receive vouchers to purchase produce at local farm markets.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Area Agency on Aging (BCAAA) is partnering with the state Department of Agriculture to again help seniors stock their pantries with fresh, locally-grown produce.

Through the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP), eligible seniors can receive vouchers valued at $24 per eligible recipient. Vouchers are available through Sept. 30, or while supplies last, and can be used to purchase fruits and vegetables at participating farmers markets.

The program is open to eligible seniors who reside in Bucks County, will be 60 or older by the end of the year and meet annual income requirements. Income includes wages, rental income, Social Security, child support payments, retirement plan distributions, and other forms of income.

The program’s 2022 household income eligibility is:

  • 1 person - $25,142
  • 2 people - $33,874
  • 3 people - $42,606
  • 4 people $51,338
  • 5 people $60,070
  • 6 people $68,802

Applications and vouchers are available at participating senior centers throughout the county. Check with your local senior center for hours and availability:
