Reconstruction Of Rail Crossing To Detour Butler Avenue In Chalfont
The Butler Avenue railroad crossing will be closed his weekend between Bristol Road and Tamenend Avenue.

CHALFONT, PA — The SEPTA crossing on Butler Avenue between Bristol Road and Tamenend Avenue will be closed and detoured this weekend while SEPTA reconstructs the crossing.
SEPTA will be performing a full-depth renewal of the Butler Avenue grade crossing.
The work will include removal of asphalt approaches and existing rails and panels and the installation of new concrete track crossing panels. The grade crossing will then be constructed and the approaches paved with time allowed for the asphalt to cool sufficiently before reopening the road to service.
