Road Closures Announced In Advance Of Blaze Of Glory 5K In Plumstead
The race, benefiting the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company, will step off Saturday morning rain or shine.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA —Due to the Blaze of Glory 5K scheduled to race through the township on Saturday morning, March 23 certain streets will be temporarily closed to traffic between 8 and 11 a.m. The streets include:
- Stump Road (between 611 and Potters Lane)
- Potters Lane
- Curly Hill Road (between Potters Lane and Meetinghouse Rd.)
- Meetinghouse Road
- Craig’s View
The Plumsteadville Fire Police will be strategically stationed along the race course to guide traffic through the detoured routes.
"If you find yourself behind the wheel during the event, please yield to all runners and walkers and exercise extreme caution," police said.

The community is invited to join the always-spirited event, which steps off rain or shine.
"Lace up those sneakers, embrace the camaraderie, and revel in the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire House festivities. Every step you take supports the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company. Let’s make this 5K blaze with glory," police said.

Registration is being accepted in person on Friday, March 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company, 5064 Stump Road, Plumsteadville, or on race day from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Proceeds from the race benefit the Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company.
