Road Closures Planned For Doylestown Arts Fest, Bike Race
It's a big weekend in Doylestown: the arts festival and the bike race are coming up. See what roads will be closed, and where you can't park

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A big weekend is ahead in Doylestown: It's the Doylestown Arts Festival and the Thompson Bucks County Classic Bike Race.
The arts festival, to be held Saturday, Sept. 8 and Sunday, Sept. 9, will feature works by 160 artists in a variety of categories, including fine art, glass, woodworking, photography, pottery, printmaking, and more. The free event, which will be held rain or shine, also features live music, interactive demonstrations, food, and more. The festival is located throughout Doylestown. (Click here for a festival map.)

On Sunday, in addition to the Arts Festival, Doylestown will host the Thompson Bucks County Classic international men’s professional 50-mile cycling race, along with a women’s professional race, a recreational ride, an amateur race, and children’s races
Residents should be aware these events will result in road closures, detours and parking restrictions in Doylestown Borough.

On Saturday, between 7 am and 7 pm, the Arts Festival will result in the following road closures:
- Main Street between Oakland Avenue and Court Street
- State Street between Pine Street and Clinton Street
- Hamilton Street between State Street and West Oakland Avenue*
- West Oakland Avenue between Main and Clinton Streets*
*Hamilton Street between State and Oakland, and West Oakland between Main and Hamilton will remain closed overnight Saturday into Sunday with emergency vehicle access only.
There will be little to no access to all vehicles on these streets during this time, authorities said. Local detours will be in effect.
Additionally, there will be no parking from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday on the following streets:
- Main Street (Court to Ashland)
- State Street (Pine to Clinton)
- West Oakland Ave (Clinton to Main)
- East Ashland Street (Pine to Main)
- Pine Street (Court to State)
- Pine Street Parking Lot
- West Court Street (Clinton to Hamilton)
- South Hamilton Street (Court to Oakland)
- Kenny's Parking Lot
Vehicles that remain on these streets past 5 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday will be towed.
The approved course will use the following streets, which will be closed in addition to the closures already in place for the Arts Festival:
- East and West Court Street
- Pine Street
- East and West Oakland Avenue
- South Main Street
- West Ashland Street
- Lafayette Street
- Hamilton Street, between Court Street and Ashland Street
Racing will begin at 8:30 am and continue until approximately 3 pm. Access to areas within the race route, which encircles the town center, will be controlled and limited during this time, according to borough officials.
Doylestown DART will be providing a free shuttle service both days from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shuttles will run from the Court Bucks County Parking Garage at Broad, Union and Doyle Streets, to the intersection of Clinton and W Court Streets, and from the Fanny Chapman Pool and Farm office complex Parking Lots to the intersection of Green & Ashland Streets. The borough encourages visitors to use the shuttles.
