DOYLESTOWN, PA — Roadway and bridge construction projects are scheduled this week in Doylestown Township, Plumstead Township, Bedminster Township and New Hope Borough. Here's where motorists can expect delays:

  • Route 611 between Silo Hill Road and Point Pleasant Pike in Plumstead. Motorists are advised of lane closures on Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a stormwater improvement project. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent. Highway Materials, Inc of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
  • Easton Road and New Britain/Sauerman Road in Doylestown Township. Construction continues through the summer on the construction of two roundabouts. New Britain Road is reduced to one lane between Easton Road and Rolling Hill Boulevard. During the lane closure, motorists will be directed to use Lower State Road, U.S. 202, and Easton Road. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
  • The rehabilitation of the New Hope-Lambertville Free Bridge continues through September. New Jersey-bound vehicles are being detoured via the Route 202 bridge. West bound traffic into Pennsylvania will continue to use the bridge. The walkway will remain open throughout the project.
  • PECO Energy will be performing utility work on the following four state highways in Bucks County through April 1. Look for weekly lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Route 413 (Durham Road) between Dark Hollow Road and Stump Road in Bedminster and Plumtead; Route 611 (Easton Road) between Quarry and Spruce Hill roads in Bedminster; Creek Road between Quarry and Wismer Road, Bedminster; and Wismer Road between Stump and Point Pleasant Road in Plumstead Township. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
