School Board Approves Cell Tower at District Operations Center

The Central Bucks School board has given the ok for a cell tower at the district’s Operations Center site on Swamp Road.

The measure, which was approved Tuesday, would generate $24,000 a year in lease income, The Intelligencer reported.

However, the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors must approve the lease before it moves forward and, The Intelligencer reports, that officials there are unlikely to pass it due to possible opposition from surrounding residents. 

The Operations Center is located at 320 W Swamp Road, just past the road's intersection with Route 611.
