SEPTA Work To Close Butler Avenue In New Britain And Chalfont
A 24-hour closure is scheduled on Butler Avenue between Bristol and Tamenend roads in early December.

NEW BRITAIN, PA — SEPTA will be replacing a railroad crossing on Butler Avenue in New Britain and Chalfont boroughs beginning on Friday, December 2.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- From 9 a.m. on Friday, December 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 5 a 24-hour closure is scheduled on Butler Avenue between Bristol and Tamenend Roads. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Bristol Road, Upper State Road, and Almshouse Road/Tamenend Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The work is weather dependent
