Severe Storm Blows Across 3 Central Bucks Townships With 75 MPH Winds
A survey team from the National Weather Service reported numerous uprooted trees, downed limbs, and branches throughout the area.

PLUMSTEAD, PA — A severe thunderstorm swept across three Central Bucks County townships on Monday evening producing a widespread area of sporadic straight-line wind damage.
According to the National Weather Service, the 7:15 p.m. storm impacted East Rockhill, Bedminster, and Plumstead townships with peak winds estimated to 75 mph.
A survey team from the National Weather Service reported numerous uprooted trees, downed limbs, and branches throughout the area. Several of the trees and branches fell onto powerlines, causing powerlines and some power poles to fall.

The survey team did find a couple of snapped trees, however the team noted that they were weakened by interior rotting of the trunks. There were dozens of corn fields that had leaning or flattened corn stalks in this area as well.
As the strong winds continued southeast into Plumstead Township, the damage became noticeably more sporadic and generally less severe in nature, said the survey team.

"A few more trees were uprooted, some falling onto powerlines. The last large tree that was found
uprooted was on Curly Hill Road, where it also downed powerlines and a few power poles."
