The new store boasts wide aisles, Target’s signature red and white color scheme, a grocery section, and departments devoted to apparel, toys, shoes, entertainment, jewelry and accessories, kitchen wear, and more.
In addition, the store has an in-house CVS Pharmacy, a Starbucks and Doylestown’s first Ulta Beauty store.
Among the guests on Tuesday was council president Jack O’Brien. “It’s good to see it here because it sat empty for so long. I know my granddaughter can’t wait for the opening.”
Doylestown Borough Mayor Noni West, Councilman Larry Browne and the borough’s director of building and zoning Karyn Hyland, were also among the guests checking out the new store.
“We’re excited for it to be opening. And I know the community is thrilled. They have been asking and asking and asking when it will open,” said Mayor West, adding, “This will probably be the last time we can find a convenient parking space.”
Councilman Larry Browne added, “It’s a good addition to the town. It’s been a space that has been empty for a lot of years. It will bring more people into the borough and will benefit us with jobs and tax revenue.”
