Storm With 60 MPH Winds, Penny-Sized Hail In Area: NWS

A severe thunderstorm warning is in place through 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for a storm moving through the region with penny-sized hail and 60 mph wind gusts. The warning is in place until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties, the National Weather Service said.

According to the NWS: Severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Ottsville to near Phoenixville to near Marshallton, moving east at 20 mph.

Impacted locations include: Philadelphia, West Chester, Norristown, Phoenixville, Lansdale, West Norriton, East Norriton, Westtown, Perkasie, Doylestown, Byram, Downingtown, Conshohocken, Hatboro, Souderton, Bedminster, Ambler, Kennett Square and Collegeville.

"For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building," the warning said.
