Student Anxiety, Learning Differences The Topic Of Central Bucks Seminar
Parents, educators, and community members are invited to attend the May 2 seminar for strategies on inclusive learning and student support.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Parents, educators, and community members are invited to Unami Middle School on Saturday, May 2, for a seminar on student anxiety and learning differences presented by the Central Bucks School District Education Founation.
The event, titled “Supporting the Whole Child: Perspectives on Anxiety and Learning Differences,” is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, with registration opening at 8:15 a.m.
According to event organizers, the seminar will focus on learners with divergent needs and will also address anxiety issues within educational environments. Organizers said educators and parents will gather to explore strategies that promote more inclusive learning, emotional regulation and academic success.

The discussion is expected to highlight the different ways students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and sensory processing challenges experience learning. A key focus of the seminar will be understanding the rising impact of anxiety, according to the event description.
The program will feature three local psychologists: Dr. Megan Maynard, NCSP; Dr. Jason B. Tanenbaum, Psy.D., ABPP; and Dr. Lorna Jansen, Psy.D. They will be presenting practical approaches to help create safe, supportive, and adaptable learning environments where students can feel understood and empowered.

The seminar is open to all parents and community members. Registration costs $25 for community members through the Foundation website.
Teachers can also register in Frontline for “Supporting the Whole Child: Perspectives on Anxiety and Learning Differences.” According to the event materials, teachers who attend will be awarded three Act 48 hours.
The event is being presented by the Central Bucks SD Education Foundation. The foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization, with donations tax deductible subject to applicable law and regulation.
