Three to Run for Central Bucks School Board Under 'Clean Slate' Platform

Three local residents have collaborated to form “The Clean Slate” and will run for Central Bucks School Board under a platform of change within the school district.
Sharon Collopy of Doylestown Township, Beth Darcy of Doylestown Township and Karen Smith of Chalfont are running for the board in regions 6, 8 and 1, respectively.
The three candidates said they will be sharing resources and supporting each other’s candidacy as part of The Clean Slate.

“Voters can expect Clean Slate candidates to focus on students first, to emphasize transparent decision making, to increase and improve communications and to seek out and support exemplary leaders,” the candidates said in a joint statement.
The candidates said they plan to cross-file on both the Democratic and Republican ballots for the primary on May 19.
